Concerned about the Future of Our Forests?
Make your voice heard by copying the statement below to an e-mail and sending it to your Senators and Representatives on the State and Federal levels, urging them to support any legislation or budgetary issues that support saving our hemlock forests.

I am greatly concerned about the future of our forests and watersheds. Specifically, I am concerned that the impending loss of our hemlock forests to the alien pest Hemlock Woolly Adelgid will irreversibly harm our environment. Because hemlock forests grow along our streams and wetlands, the destruction caused by this pest threatens our recreation and tourist industry. The loss of our hemlock forests may eliminate brook trout from our streams. Please vote to appropriate more funding specific to stopping the spread of Hemlock Woolly Adelgid.
